Since I didn’t know what I was going to write this blog about, now they’ve put it very easy.
Patron Festivities of Altea, or Major Festivities in honor of the Holy Christ of the Tabernacle and San Blas and Virgen del Consuelo, as they prefer to call them.
This year marks their 40th anniversary, when in 1979 a group of young people decided to make them popular

As I am not partying,
I mean the popular ones
As for the private ones ….
And like the last ones I lived in Altea
to the popular ones I mean
They were more than 25 years ago, I decided to take the camera and stand in the parades on Saturday (the Christian Entrance) and repeat on Monday at the Moors Entrance.

I must admit that my camera worked like that of a turist and not like that of one who has lived in this town for 23 years …
I continue to hallucinate with the deployment of money and work that the townspeople do in their organization.

Also of course the amount of energy they display ..

That cannot be understood if there was not an engine that moves everything: THE PASSION
Without passion you could not carry out all that,
In reality, without passion, practically nothing can be done except to survive ….
What do you think moves a Cristiano Ronaldo to try to succeed now in La Juve when he has already conquered everything with Real Madrid and other teams and besides being famous is a multimillionaire? And to so many human beings in different professions and activities?
And even a simple freelancer to get up every day and resolve, in his small business, the problems that are constantly presented to him and that he must solve in order to move forward in pursuit of his dream?

SELF EMPLOYEED PLUMBER BEFORE TAX PEOPLE CATCH HIM!
As one said there: “sometimes life can be fucking hard ..”
Well, all those people who participate in the party for a few days put aside their problems and focus on the passion to participate, do well and above all have fun and forget their sorrows and suffering
At least for a few days …
Look at these pictures …
No passion needed for all this deployment?
Spectacular outfits…

It takes a year to make

And paying a lot of money …

making a great economic effort, as some families ask for credit to live this moment….

And don’t believe that it’s only those September days …
Well, as soon as the holidays are over and the hangover is over and they overcome the depression of returning to the daily routine, they start planning for next year.

And they start working and invest a lot of money in the next illusion

They are admirable

See how they do it in parades, with ecstasy ….

How colorful, how much joy!

Look at those horses …

And the camels …

Charriots……

And finally the entry into his chariot of the Christian King preceded by his guard

This year marks 775 years that Rei Jaume I entered Altea reconquering the land
How much work is behind all that
My congratulations to all of them ….
Returning to the party, and according to the point of view of one who was not born in this wonderful land,
The Christian parade for me has been very slow.
The wait is a bit heavy and there is a lot of space between them. People get tired and leave before they enter the float with the Christian King
On the other hand I understand that those who participate want to never finish for all the time and effort they have used, but it seems to me that if it were more concentrated it would be more spectacular, at least for the eyes of those outside.
The Moro parade in my opinion has been more spectacular and fun.
There was a lot of color and they went more together, with very cheerful music, and many dances,
Anyway, I liked it more
It is my opinion, I repeat …
Well, it is very difficult to understand the spirit of the party if you were not born here
But I have seen that people have had a great time
And that’s good, it’s always good
And the tourists too
Have a great time
And there were many
What helps them to know Altea and its customs
That’s always good
So friends to enjoy the weekend and as he said: “to live that is two days”
A hug
