Pro-Aging, pro-Activ

HOW A SIMPLE CHANGE OF ATTITUDE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Are you reactive or proactive?

Let me put it simply:

If you’re reactive, you tend to:

1. Be passive. When a problem arises, you wait to see if there are other elements in your environment that might give you a clue to finding the solution.

2. Make excuses and blame others.

3. Be dependent on your environment, thinking, “If everything is fine, I’m fine.”

4. See more flaws and threats.

5. Focus more on the problems.

6. Be a victim of everything.

7. Complain constantly.

Whereas if you’re proactive, you tend to:

1. Take action as soon as the problem arises.

2. Not make excuses, look for solutions.

3. Change your environment: “If it’s not right, I’m going to try to change it.”

4. Think positively: “Perhaps what’s happening will bring me something better.”

5. Focus on the different options available.

6. Analyze the root of the problem instead of feeling like a victim.

7. Stop complaining and take action.

NOW ANALYZE: WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOUR ATTITUDE WERE DIFFERENT?

IF IN THE HYPOTHETICAL CASE OF BEING REACTIVE YOU BECAME PROACTIVE?

WOULDN’T EVERYTHING BE DIFFERENT IN YOUR LIFE?

As you get older, if you accept that it’s a fait accompli, an unavoidable fact that you can’t do anything about except die, then look for solutions.

Forget everything you’ve experienced in the past, change your mindset, and become proactive.

If you manage to do this, then my advice is to start practicing pro-aging, that is, “being the best you can be for your age.”

And for this, you must be willing to make “certain sacrifices” that are unavoidable if you want to achieve good results.

1. Reduce your calorie intake; in other words, eat less.

2. Eat natural foods; that is, everything the earth produces without industrial manipulation. You know, processed foods, pastries, etc. etc. All out. Forget them!

3. Do excercise; that is, do aerobic and strength training.

4. Keep moving—that means no couch, no Netflix, no elevators, walk as much as you can…

But above all, maintain a positive attitude toward life and its circumstances.

Cultivate friendships and social relationships, and most importantly: have a goal that motivates you to get up every day with joy and good humor, despite the aches and pains that come with age.

Find something you truly enjoy doing, something that brings you pleasure.

Anything.

Everyone has their own preferences.

And above all, learn to say no.

To love yourself, pamper yourself, and give yourself pleasure.

Remember that life is short, very short, and that tomorrow you might not be in this world anymore…

So enjoy everything you want… and can!

You’ll see how you see everything differently.

And one last piece of advice: get rid of all the toxic people around you, those who don’t add value to your life. It’s not worth wasting a single minute of your time with her.

I’m already doing all of this, and I can assure you, I’m only now starting to be happy.
