We, the residents of Altea Hills have had the great privilege of seeing in situ the facilities of the wonderful luxury hotel ZEM Wellness Clinic, recently opened to the public and located at the entrance roundabout to the Urbanization
We have had the courtesy to introduce us, the neighbors, to the magnificent facilities of this marvel of modernity.
A luxury hotel with a cutting-edge Clinic, with the most modern methods for rejuvenation and longevity.
A place designed and conceived so that the guest forgets all their problems and leaves the stress in the suitcase.
It is located in a paradisiacal enclave surrounded by forests, sea and mountains.
And it has as its symbol a thousand-year-old olive tree brought directly from Italy….
THE MOON WAS CAPTIVATED BY SO MUCH BEAUTY AND DECIDED TO JOIN US ON THE VISIT……
We have taken a tour of all the facilities guided by super attentive staff.
They showed us the beautiful luxury suites with their incredible views, the modern facilities of the Clinic with its cutting-edge equipment and then the Spa and relaxation area with its different saunas and cryotherapy rooms.
HERE THEY PUT YOU IN AND KEEP YOU VERY COOL!
AND TO DEFROST YOU THEY HAVE DIFFERENT TYPES OF VERY WARM SAUNAS!
AND IF AFTER “SO MUCH SUFFERING” YOU STILL HAVE DRIVE AND ENERGY, GO FOR IT AT THE GYM.
THAT’S FOR YOU. GUIDED BY EXPERT TRAINERS…
Finally, they took us to see the restaurant with its terraces and three different swimming pools.
A LITTLE DINNER HERE WOULDN’T BAD ANYONE…
CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING ABLE TO ENJOY THESE POOLS AND THEN HAVING A MOONLIGHT DINNER NEXT TO THE OLIVE TREE?
Come on, this is luxury!

And now let’s go to the news that caught my attention:

News number 1:
The Alicante Coast is one of the areas of Spain where buyers of luxury homes are showing the most interest.
“Districts and towns spread across the provinces of the Balearic Islands, Alicante, Malaga and Girona have registered data of over 60% in the interest of foreigners in the purchase of high-end properties.
Interest in buying a luxury home in Spain has multiplied in recent years. Idealista recently confirmed that this exclusive market was consolidating in our country with more than 45,000 advertisements for properties for sale for over one million euros, of which more than 20% were for over three million.”

News item number 2:
The interest of foreigners in buying a house in Spain is one of the reasons for the strong demand for housing in the current expansion cycle
Non-resident foreigners buy more expensive homes.
The study also shows that non-resident foreigners buy homes at a higher price per square meter, with an average of 2,895 euros/m2, than residents and Spaniards, with an average of 1,734 euros and 1,659 euros, respectively.
By area, they are mainly concentrated in tourist areas (archipelagos and the Mediterranean arc) and urban areas (especially Barcelona and Madrid), with Alicante as the province with the most foreign buyers, as they account for approximately half of the total number of sales , and where non-residents have a large role (68.6%).
As for nationalities, the main non-resident buyers come from European countries, with British, German, Dutch, Belgian and French at the top, as they account for 48.5% of the total.

News item number 3:
Can you guess where the most expensive street to buy a house in the Valencian Community is?
“
“In the specific case of the Valencian Community, the most expensive street is Las Ramblas in Altea (Alicante) with a price of 4,047,000 euros.”
Where else would it be?
Read the full article in Las Provincias:
PS: I have no idea where they got that from, but I suppose it is from adverts on Idealista.
It is a very short street with very few houses.
But it is not even close to the best street in Altea.
In Altea Hills there are many more spectacular and much more expensive houses…..

NOW THE SPECIFIC NEWS ABOUT ALTEA:
Altea News 1:
The Tram between Benidorm and the La Vila hospital will be cut off for more than three months due to works
Tram rail traffic between the Benidorm station and the La Vila Joiosa Regional Hospital will be cut off for THREE MONTHS due to the electrification and track duplication works being carried out on that section.
The kilometres separating the Benidorm Tram station and the hospital in the neighbouring municipality will have to be covered by road from 28 January.
This railway cut will coincide with the end of the one currently in force on the other section from Calpe to Altea.
It is expected that the latter will be finished on the same date and the Tram will be put back into operation between both stations after months of closure due to works to build two new viaducts in Mascarat and l’Algar.

Altea News 2
Even though we are in one of the times of the year with the fewest tourists in Altea, parking is still an odyssey
And the problem of traffic that crosses the municipality… I think that no one can fix it.
And that is even though the AP7 is still free!
Because there is talk that it will return to tolls…
If so, we are in trouble!

To finish the blog, a final reflection:
Be good!
